The Department:
The Retention & Marketing Communications Department is responsible for the creation, segmentation and execution of promotions sent out to players across all products and regions.  

Purpose of Job:
Lead a team of Sports Marketing Communications executives and help deliver the objectives of the retention department. You will provide guidance to your peers to ensure all communications are of the highest standard across their respective sports/markets, and help ensure all retention-based promotions across your areas are well executed. This is with the ultimate aim of increasing customer engagement, reducing churn and increasing lifetime value.  

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

The position will involve the following areas of responsibility:

• Manage all e-mail marketing, including planning/scheduling, strategy, day to day campaigns and workflows
• Assist with content managing the website and ensuring other regions keep the sporting websites updated
• Help implement new personalisation strategies and workflows
• Be a Salesforce champion
• Offers direct guidance and support to team members – the first point of call for any issues
• Help manage the relationship between Sports Marketing Communications and Design
• Represent the Sports Marketing Communications team and act as the point of contact for the rest of the business for promotions related requirements
• Monitoring the volumes of work for all team members
• Responsible for training and development for the team
• Conduct weekly team meetings – this includes reviewing deadlines, open and click-through rates, providing feedback and suggestions on improving these stats
• Promotional analysis
o assessing the success rates of email campaigns
o feedback to team and stakeholders
o providing ideas for sports promotions
o competitor analysis
• Work closely and together with other team leaders

Essential Criteria:

• Good knowledge and understanding of Salesforce
• Understanding of end-to-end campaign development and delivery
• Proven management of marketing communications activity
• Good knowledge of online customer retention strategies and communication tactics
• Previous experience of managing or providing guidance to other team members
• Experience of carrying out data analysis on promotional activity making suitable recommendations
• An understanding of sports betting

Desirable Criteria:

• Understanding and knowledge of HTML
• Previous experience working in sports betting
