DATA SCIENTIST – Global retailer
A pivotal position with a high profile global has just arisen for a customer-behavioural analytics focused Data Scientist to report directly into the Head of Analytics and promote the use of insights from data to deliver improved customer experiences for this new and exciting category for the business.
As the Data Scientist and an expert in your field, you will implement and maintain analytics products & processes as well as share industry best practises for digital analytics, owning their unique platform whilst monitoring effectiveness of data capture to drive key success metrics.
You’ll conduct customer lifecycle analysis, segmentation, predictive and forecast modelling to predict future trends on customers across all channels, and also segmentation and groupings analysis to provide insight that can be translated into action for commercial opportunities.
The Data Scientist will work with third parties to cleanse & augment the customer data held to improve the effectiveness of the communication strategies and ensure KPIs are comparable across the channels within the brand to assist in the conversion path & improve communication strategies.
We are looking for at least five years’ experience in a customer behaviour focused analytics position, ideally within a retail environment and knowledge of ecommerce & online marketing. In terms of a toolbox, advanced use of Excel, SQL, and Google Analytics for data manipulation and experience of building predictive models using statistical tools such as Apache Spark, SAS and Python.
