BD Executive (Projects, Energy & Infrastructure) - Legal
This role represents an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and talented business development professional to join a leading international law firm in a BD Executive role focused on the implementation of the BD strategy for the firm's preeminent Projects, Energy and Infrastructure practice.
The role will involve supporting the practice to win more work and the practice's broader global activities working collaboratively across borders on sector driven BD activities including pitches, campaigns and initiatives. This is a great opportunity for someone with an interest in the energy and infrastructure sectors looking for a broad role that spans one of the firm's core products and two of its priority sector groups. The role will require a "hands-on" approach to marketing and BD with the BD Executive being responsible for business planning, advice and providing a focus to the delivery and direction of BD activities. You will assist partners, associates and BD colleagues in the management of strategic client relationships, co-ordinating client targeting efforts across the sector and working with the central CRM team on specific client tactics, including secondee debriefs, client presentations and training. You will also be tasked with assisting the team in preparing proposals, pitch presentations and credentials statements for London-based proposals and capture proposal outcomes and prompt fee earners to act upon feedback. On the marketing side you will be involved in campaign management, events, directory and award submissions and overseeing the maintenance of a flow of market and client intelligence to partners and associates.
The firm is looking for a commercial and ambitious individual with a real enthusiasm for developing an in-depth understanding of the projects, energy and infrastructure sectors and proven business development experience, gained in a professional services environment. The BD Executive will be a well-educated team player, with strong interpersonal, influencing and communication skills. In addition, you must be able to remain professional, proactive, creative, good humoured and enthusiastic whilst working under pressure.
