The healthcare arm of a top 50 ranked consumer advertising agency is looking for an experienced agency Project Manager to join its pharmaceutical OTC and consumer healthcare advertising team based in Victoria. This agency is one of the real up-and-coming agencies in the business and somewhere you’d like to be if you want to join an agency in the healthcare arena that’s really making a huge name for itself.

The Project Manager supports the project team from the start to end of each job, taking collective responsibility throughout. The core project team consists of Creative Director, Creative team/s, Planner (where appropriate), Account Director/Manager. You will need to have an overview of all allocated work and financial status to ensure that projects are completed within the allotted time and budget, as efficiently and effectively as possible; act as a conduit between the project team and the studio, keeping the team updated as the work progresses, taking a pro-active role in staying ahead of the current status.; to source/manage any suppliers which may include internal departments, such as art buying, studio, digital and TV. This also includes external suppliers such as printers, digital agencies, illustrators and their agents, and event companies etc.

What you’ll need is the ability to juggle multiple projects at once and be able to cope with a busy workload; a calm, considered approach; good communication skills (clear communication and knowing when to communicate); experience of working on projects from initial creative development through to final delivery (i.e. not just production experience); sound print experience (understanding of print processes, formats and finishes); digital knowledge (does not have to be to digital producer level, just a key understanding of what happens on a digital project, basics of digital builds, different approaches and which should is appropriate depending on the platform, an idea of timings/costs); experience of art buying (helping to organise shoots, commissioning illustrators, sourcing images from libraries); sound financial acumen, including responsibility for estimating projects and project reconciliation; highly computer literate (PC user, intermediate level MS Office) and TV/Film experience (doesn’t have to be TV producer level, but must have had experience of creating films and a basic knowledge of processes). Lastly, you will definitely require knowledge of working in an advertising agency, ideally in the pharmaceutical space,
