Software Project Manager - Central Manchester

Salary: £50k


An experienced IT Project Manager is required for the Central Manchester office of a multi-award-winning Tech Agency boasting global clients and a strong backbone in eCommerce. This is a great opportunity for an IT Project Manager with experience executing Web / Software / Mobile projects within the eCommerce sphere, who is looking to work in a varied, technical, fast paced environment. The company has had a large influx of investment and they are looking to grow massively over the next 3 and a half years, so this is an excellent time to get involved as there are some very exciting eCommerce projects coming up…

The IT Project Manager will have extensive experience of managing multiple IT focused projects simultaneously (Software, Web based applications, Websites, Mobile Applications) within an eCommerce setting and managing Stakeholders alongside participating in standups and meetings both internal and external. The ideal candidate will also have extensive experience in managing all stages of the project delivery and software development lifecycle.

Key skills requirements:

*Proven experience of managing the delivery of complex IT projects, focussed on Software, Web based applications, Websites, Mobile Applications
*Significant eCommerce experience
*Demonstrable understanding of Project Management techniques in an Agile environment
*Experience in 'best practise' change management at project level. Professional qualification in Project Management at practitioner level needed. e.g. PRINCE2, is desirable but not essential
*Solid experience of all stages of the project delivery and software development lifecycle
*Experience of engaging and managing third parties
*Create project proposals, project initiation documents, business cases, enhancement and change requests
*Managing projects, enhancements and change requests to agreed time/ cost/ deliverable targets
*Create and maintain project plans, schedules, risks and issue logs
*Identify all stakeholders, develop a communications strategy for each, manage expectations and be politically aware

Desirable
*Experience of working with Magento based projects
*Experience within an Agency or Software House and understanding of juggling multiple clients

The successful Project Manager will be responsible for the delivery of technical internal and external projects, managing initiatives throughout the end to end change lifecycle. Performing analysis, interpreting customer requirements, taking the lead on shaping the process and conducting impact assessments, to support solution design. You will be responsible for managing project resource ensuring delivery is to time, cost and quality measures.
