PR Manager

A global accountancy and business advisory firm operating in 154 countries worldwide is seeking an experienced PR Manager to join their award-winning PR team in London for a 12 month Maternity Contract with the possibility to go permanent.

Reporting to the Head of External Communications, your focus will be on managing corporate news and campaigns whilst being responsible for safeguarding the overall reputation of the firm.

There are three main elements to the role:

Campaigns

  • Work with the PR agency and in house research team to develop stories and reactive opinion on relevant events in the news agenda
  • Responsible for large campaigns around the changing nature of the business
  • Disseminate content across the company and which can be used to have profitable conversations with target audiences
  • Develop relationships across key national and trade media outlets

Press Office Management

  • Manage the media enquiries for one of the service lines
  • Responsible for final sign off on all statements

Press Office Lead

  • Manage the overall external communications, including sign off on media materials and ensuring all business development managers have their stories confirmed in the PR news grid
  • Advise business development managers on PR approaches and any external support required
  • Responsible for any reactive press queries into the external communications team

Your Profile:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Passionate about raising the brand profile and safeguarding the reputation
  • Strong journalist relationships across business and home news pages
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills, with excellent copywriting, copy editing and proofreading skills
  • Able to create unique and distinctive stories that resonate in the market
  • Prepared to test bold ideas and challenge the status quo
  • Strong stakeholder management and ability to build trust and rapport with internal clients
  • Has an understanding of the external communications channel mix (media, social media, digital) and the relationship between PR and marketing
  • Highly organised and methodical with excellent attention to detail
  • Adept at working to tight deadlines
  • Committed to ongoing learning and curious to develop new or existing skills including new digital channel opportunities
  • Experience in the Professional Service sector is an advantage
