Research Manager

Great opportunity to join a consumer research team working with digital products. Working across the research, design and product teams, you will be integral to the concept development, design and launch of a full portfolio of exciting new digital products. Using your extensive experience in UX research and adhering to UX best practice, you will be responsible for the overall planning and scoping of design research, from assessing the problem, deciding what research formats to use and managing a team to deliver it.

This is both a hands-on and management role, depending on the nature of the project and you will be dedicated to high quality delivery across a wide range of tactical and strategic research. Methodologies include in-depth interviews, focus groups, remote interviews, usability testing, diary studies, card sorting, tree testing and surveys. You will be comfortable managing the UX research budget and evangelical about the value of UX research, providing thought leadership both internally and externally. You will enjoy plenty of cooperation with the entire business, harnessing insights, sharing knowledge, conducting complementary research and identifying opportunities to add value.

Specific requirements include demonstrable experience of a range of research techniques ideally including formal usability testing such as writing scripts, moderating, writing resulting reports and briefing design teams. A mix of in-house and agency experience would be welcome and you will ideally have strong technical ability to manage equipment and software for user research labs.
