Digital Product Manager - Apps
We're looking for an experienced Product Manager who has experience working on mobile apps - owning both the customer experience and feature roadmap of (ideally) a service based app which incorporates features such as booking engines and e-commerce/transactional type properties as part of the user experience.
ABOUT THE COMPANY
As you can guess, this is a start-up environment - but it's also part of a much bigger blue-chip international organisation who have established something of a 'digital garage' - and they've a pedigree of success from it too - their first launch into the digital disruption space is a UK market leader, has launched and groping rapidly in the US and is about to launch into several EU territories too - and they have similar grand plans for this product offering too!
The firm's transactional website is live and user base is growing rapidly, supported by large-scale ATL and PR campaigns - the app is nearing completion of initial release and this is most definitely where you will come in - taking control of its roadmap of development and customer experience.
MORE ABOUT THE ROLE
The App and digital platform you will be responsible for have 2 sides to it - one for consumers, featuring a pricing and booking engine, transactional aspect and diary - along with full account management feature set.
The other is a digital platform for businesses - enabling companies to sign up to the platform, manage their own bookings and invoicing, as well as provide bespoke pricing solutions, based on what the consumer requires, full account management functionality - and lots more.
This is expected to be something that takes off and grows rapidly, since it offers key USP's others in this sector either can't, or won't - and that's realised because of its affiliation with its parent company.
Your remit will be to establish the requirements of both customer sets and devise the development roadmap accordingly - identifying what the 'must haves' are and what are more vanity projects - taking it from its MVP at launch, roadmapping the product feature backlog across the digital platform, resulting in an exceptional customer experience - all delivered in an Agile environment.
Future career prospects are strong for someone taking on this challenging opportunity. With ambitious plans not just for UK, but international growth in the pipeline, you could be looking at something with the potential of an Uber or Deliveroo (just not in those sectors…).
As the business becomes established, the customer base grows, you will also grow your role into a leadership position, ultimately likely to head up the function. So they're looking for someone with significant headroom for career development, taking on a bigger and broader remit as things develop - with a prospect of this role even evolving into a general management position further down the line.
As the ideal candidate, you will be able to demonstrate the skillset required to be a Digital Product Manager, driving commercial results and supporting business objectives whilst also owning the product feature roadmap and overseeing its delivery whilst also achieving an exceptional customer experience for the user too.
So if you're the kind of person who's able to comfortably own a role like this, have a pedigree established within digital environments; and would love the opportunity to take on a role with the next digitally disruptive brand to emerge from its digital incubator, this could be just the kind of opportunity you're looking for!

- You've been responsible for the digital product roadmap - covering digital experience end-to-end across all platforms (web, app, device), all features and functionality and customer experience
- You've been the product owner for an app - deciding what's possible with it - from minimum viable product to get it into market right through to deciding the roadmap for future development, deciding what's right to do to achieve the very best customer experience and being obsessive about how it looks and works
- You're analytical - looking at the behavioural and usage data of the app and website - understanding why things are happening and how to remediate problems and well as enhance customer experience
- Must have the necessary visas to live and work in the UK - sponsorship cannot be provided.
