The role of Junior Project Manager is a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate to gain entry into an exciting growing app development company. The role will allow the individual to experience a complete cross section of the project process being involved at every stage supporting a senior PM.
Organisation, an eye for detail and great communication skills are a must for this role!
This is a client-facing role where you will be the main point of contact with clients during the production process. Working across a diverse set of projects, you will be solely responsible for managing digital projects from conception through to final delivery. To include managing scope, resources, scheduling, budgets and tracking, development of project plans and providing status updates.
- Assist Senior Project Manager -
The Junior Project Manager’s central duty is to assist the Senior Project Managers. This can consist of any number of tasks. Often, they’re assisting with the tasks outlined below, but they may also be asked to perform clerical duties.
- Create Project Timelines -
As a Junior Project Manager you will create detailed documents and plans for each project, including the schedule, the budget, and setting a timeline for the project. You will collaborate with various teams and hold meetings to develop project plans and present them to senior management before starting the project.
- Quality Assurance / Testing -
As a Junior Project Manager you will be responsible for doing the initial review of the project build phase. Testing for bugs, ensuring the finished product aligns with the original plans.
Monitor Project Progress:
It is important that the Junior Project Manager closely monitors each project. They must recognise and report on each project regularly, ensuring that projects remain on track, meet deadlines, stay under budget, and develop according to plan.
- Report Project Results -
Once a project is complete, the Junior Project Manager, in conjunction with the Senior Project Manager, is responsible for gathering and documenting all project results and then reporting or presenting them to the appropriate parties.
Junior Project Manager Required Core Skills:
As a Junior Project Manager, you must be detail-oriented multi-taskers, extremely organised, great communicators, confident, enthusiastic and ambitious and have a great eye for detail. The successful candidate will need to be proficient with Microsoft Office and be interested in technology.
