About The Opportunity: 

Global E-Commerce Category Manager - Global Drinks Business


  • £55,000 - £60,000 Basic Salary

It's an exciting time. The opportunity for growth across global E-Commerce channels is huge, so we're looking to speak with talented, commercially focused individuals with proven experience of leading significant growth through multiple online platforms. This is a fantastic, visible opportunity where you'll have huge exposure from board level down. 

The Global E-Commerce Category Manager will be responsible for:

  • Working closely with the Global Ecommerce Director you will take the lead on developing and executing the online strategy across multiple global markets and channels.
  • Work closely with local markets to ensure the global strategy is implemented.
  • Draw incite from various data houses like GFK, Nielsen, Kantar, IRI and Amazon Vendor Central.
  • Develop a clear understanding of where the opportunity exists, who are the consumers and how to activate them.
  • Work and negotiate with key marketing agencies developing best in class online campaigns.
  • Create decks from the data gained and create marketing and commercial plans to take to domestic and Overseas markets.
  • Work with key online channels to create exclusive campaigns per brand.
  • Have Head Office exposure and negotiate promotional plans across Etail or "Brick and Click" accounts.
  • Global travel to the specific target markets.
  • Create and implement action points to execute an overall Global Strategy with Amazon UK, Europe, China, Australia and USA.

This is a hands on role - you'll relish accountability and be passionate about delivering results. This role will truly give the right person an understanding of what it takes to launch a business on a European and Global stage. 


About You: 

If you are the new Global E-Commerce Category Manager you'll be able to demonstrate some, if not all of the following skills and experiences:

  • Digital/E-Commerce experience working with Etail or "Brick and Click" accounts.
  • You'll have a commercial spirit - you love growth and are always looking for opportunities. Yet this will be supported by sound, methodical planning.
  • Have the ability to negotiate promotional budgets with Head Office Buying and Planning teams.
  • Excellent relationship building skills and can manage multi-level stakeholder relationships - both internally and externally. You are collaborative.
  • Can show that you can work cross functionally across both Marketing, PR and Communication teams in the Digital team.
  • Excellent attention to detail - you analyse numerical data, verbal data and all other sources of information.
  • You relish the opportunity to tackle problems - you see them as opportunities and always focus on solutions.
  • Ideally a good understanding of Amazon processes like AMS and AMG and be able to work with Vendor Managers to execute the Global Marketing initiatives.
  • Experience of major UK and international online grocery channels.
  • You will NOT have an ego. This business is all about healthy competition and a little rivalry, but they want to see real longevity. Team orientation is key and having the right person far outweighs the skill set.
