Our client, a Wholesale business with their Head Office based in Nottinghamshire is seeking to recruit a Retoucher & Photographer to join their Studio team.

Working alongside another Photographer, the successful candidate will be responsible for all of the photographic and images requirements for the company and will support the design team in retouching photographs sourced internally and extnerally.

Working with stakeholders across the business including Marketing, Ecommerce, Operations, Buyers and Merchandisers, this role will be pivotal in co-ordinating photography schedules and samples as well as being actively involved in the actual photography and post-production.

Key responsibilities:

Create cut-outs quickly and accurately for all products.

Compositing images photographed in the studio with stock photography.

Complete ad-hoc photo manipulation tasks.

Photograph products to agreed standards, meeting company guidelines.

Construct and photograph room sets for lifestyle photography.

Manage the image library under agreed processes, including auto-transfer of the library to the web, and that all images are processed correctly.

Work alongside multiple departments to coordinate samples to and from the studio, ensuring samples are kept in excellent condition and accurate records are kept.

Use industry standard software to retouch images to a high standard ensuring quality and colour accuracy.

Maintain company image library to ensure product accuracy across multiple platforms.

Essential Skills:

Ability to produce work quickly and accurately with tight timescales and critical paths.

Organised and proactive.

Full UK driving licence.

Excellent communication skills.

Excellent Adobe Photoshop skills are essential, including using a variety of photo manipulation and cut-out methods, particularly the pen tool.

Excellent knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, Bridge and Capture One.

Knowledge of Canon DSLR camera system.

Good knowledge of studio and location lighting.

Good understanding of colour management.

Good working knowledge of image metadata.

Experience using a Wacom tablet is desirable but not essential.

Apple macOS literate.

To be considered for this role you must be able provide a portfolio, clearly showing examples of their level of re-touching and compositing skill, and relevant photography.
