Exciting Birmingham Based Marketing & Communications role, Permanent.

Hays are working with a Birmingham University, who are a major part in the investment and transformation into the City. You will be joining the team on a permanent basis during an extremely exciting time in the organisation.

Your new role

As the Marketing and Communications Manager you will have an integral part in developing the marketing and communications strategy for the organisation. You will be required to deliver marketing recruitment objectives in line with the department's strategies. You will manage the marketing budget, complete all on and offline marketing and ensure KPIs are met to enable student growth numbers to be hit. You will also undertake market research and ensure the University is at the forefront of attraction solutions. As part of this impelling role you will provide your professional advice and guidance and high quality support to enable the organisation to achieve challenging recruitment targets.

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for this Marketing and Communications job, you will be educated at degree level, accompanied by a relevant qualification such as chartered postgraduate diploma in Marketing. A proven track record in managing marketing campaigns and budgets, as well as managing a team is required. You will have excellent written and oral communications skills alongside great networking skills to accompany your remit. As a Marketing and Communications manager you will be able to facilitate a self-managing and achievement work style, with the ability to achieve to tight deadlines. Creating an effective operational plan which sets out activities and targets will be key to succeed within your role. Good IT skills with proficient MS office applications are required for this role as Marketing and Communications Manager.
