A unique opportunity for a Marketing Manager to manage a small team responsible for all UK marketing activities for a niche, growing car brand. The role is based in their brand new offices in Central London. Having recently launched a key new vehicle they are at a very exciting time in their development.

Overall purpose of job

Managing a small team, the role is responsible for managing manufacturer's UK marketing initiatives. Using market research and analysis to direct marketing strategy and planning. Oversee the production of all promotional materials and marketing campaigns. Report marketing results to senior executives.

This is a wonderful opportunity for someone with a background in marketing communications for an automotive brand (preferably including ATL national comms) to play a key role in the development of the brand.

Main Activities

  • Establish marketing goals based on past performance and market forecasts
  • Oversees current offerings and create initiatives for new products or services (both above the line and below the line)
  • Research and analysis including market trends & competitor products to form marketing strategies
  • Maximise marketing budget
  • Work with marketing staff to develop detailed marketing plans for all media channels
  • Approve and oversee the creative development of promotional materials, website content, advertisements, and other marketing-related projects
  • Work with media buyers, advertising agencies, printers to realise marketing projects
  • Develop cost-effective marketing plans for each product or service
  • Track all marketing and sales data and report to senior executives
  • Manages the PR activity - both internally and externally

Special requirements (skills and experience)

  • A background in marketing communications for an automotive brand (preferably ATL national communications)
  • Degree in Marketing, Business, or similar
  • People management experience & strong leadership skills
  • Experience managing marketing budgets
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrate a track record of creating effective marketing campaigns
  • Ability to create a marketing strategy for an automotive brand
  • Ability to manage agencies / suppliers
  • Highly organised with a close attention to detail
  • Fluent English

This role may include unsociable hours, travel within UK and overseas
