Rare opportunity to develop your embryonic qualitative research skills within a full service market research agency. Our client is the UK office of an international company with an excellent reputation in fmcg and shopper insights research for the world’s leading brand owners. They seek a junior researcher to join their team responsible for implementing qualitative consumer research studies. You will need some qualitative research experience, ideally from a commercial role, although they will consider Marketing or related area graduates who are bright, highly articulate and energetic with an appreciation of visual design cues and experience of related coursework or internships. Advanced Microsoft Office skills and English fluency are essential with any foreign language skills a plus, especially German, Spanish or French. The role does include plenty of opportunity for international travel.

In this role, you will:

  • Assist with project development and setup  
  • Work jointly with the Directors and Project Directors to develop research plans and proposals
  • Coordinate with Qualitative Field Supervisors on project logistics and planning
  • Serve as an in-house point person for day-to- day project tasks
  • Attend focus groups and provide support and client service in the back room including taking notes, and assisting the moderator
  • Assist with the analysis, writing, and delivery of strategic reports of findings
  • Design and produce visually compelling PowerPoint presentations
  • Learn packaging, design and new product development issues
  • Become familiar with interviewing and moderating
  • Develop analytical client contact capabilities
