My client are a specialist retail brand, going from strength to strength in the UK Market since their inception over 5 years' ago. Developing their own products and retailing through ecommerce sales and also own/franchise stores, their success is increasing; and so is the workload for their Marketing team. Due to this this increased workload, the job of Consumer Social Media Executive is sought for their head office in Guildford.
Your new role
As the Consumer Social Media Executive, you create the customer-facing brand persona. You will be responsible for all social media activity (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram) and managing corporate social media accounts. You will raise the brand profile at national and local levels - utilising social media to support the organisation's ambition to become the 'authoritative voice' in their industry.
To do this, you will set up and optimise company pages within each platform to increase the visibility of company's social content, continuously improve by capturing and analysing the appropriate social data/metrics, insights and best practices and then act on the information. You will also seek opportunities to improve the use of social media and develop 'followers'. You will then communicate with followers, respond to queries in a timely manner and monitor customer reviews. Finally, you will suggest and implement new features to develop brand awareness and stay up-to-date with current technologies and trends in social media, design tools and applications.
What you'll need to succeed
You will use your previous work experience in social media communications and proven track record designing and executing successful Social Media campaigns - targeting direct consumers. You will have excellent writing, editing (photo/video/text), presentation and communication skills, and demonstrable social networking experience and social analytics tools knowledge. You will need strong project management and organisational skills, and the ability to interact with a range of audiences from across many disciplines.
You will certainly need the ability to utilise social media and web applications to support market activity and corporate image, and very importantly you will need to exercise judgement; identifying and managing risk and making clear, informed, appropriate, pragmatic and timely decisions within a highly-pressurised environment. Knowledge of web design, CRO and SEO is also advantageous.
