Hallmark Care Homes are looking for a PR Assistant to join their team in Billericay. They are a growing company and their vision is to be recognised as the leading provider of high-quality relationship-centred care for all residents. Their care homes are luxurious and their approachable and experienced Marketing Team do a great job in raising the company's profile within the healthcare sector and to potential clients. This role is an integral part of the team and you will learn all aspects of PR and develop your skill set across a variety of marketing tasks from managing requests from journalists to writing press releases.

As a PR Assistant, you will liaise with and answer enquiries from media, individuals and other organisations, often via telephone and email. You will be involved in researching, writing and distributing press releases to targeted media and you will write and collate a bank of content for the company's Facebook and Twitter social media pages.
As the PR Assistant you will be instrumental in supporting the PR Officer to design and initiate PR campaigns and will be responsible for writing blogs and updating the news section of the website.

You will have a hardworking and approachable nature, coupled with an enthusiasm and energy that will enable the Marketing Team to further shout about their accomplishments.
As well as a flair for writing and excellent spelling and grammar, we would like you to have a BSc/BA degree in public relations, journalism, communications or a relevant field and three 3 A' levels at B Grade or higher, one of which must be English Literature or Language. We would also like you to have one years' proven experience as a PR Assistant or a similar position.

You will be well organised and able to work within deadlines, be a confident user of social media platforms and have knowledge of and competence in Microsoft Office applications Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.
