Due to expansion, this highly regarded Manchester agency is looking to appoint a PR Senior Account Manager - Account Director to work across a mix of B2B and consumer clients (75% vs. 25% split in favour of B2B PR)… clients cover consumer finance, food & drink, media and energy.

The ideal candidate will be a strategic professional with PR agency experience, involving developing and implementing national campaigns, and who can demonstrate experience of building on insight and using this to inform PR strategy.

This role will suit someone who is looking to develop and progress within a structured and supportive agency environment.

Insight & Strategy

  • Applying in-depth knowledge of client sector and wider landscape to shape creative thinking and campaign strategies
  • Understanding the use of analytics in measuring campaign success
  • Tracking trends and issues across online and offline media which could be used to inform thinking, campaign planning and content delivery
  • Implementing robust evaluation across accounts

Core Skills:

  • Fostering media relationships at a senior editorial level
  • Generating media ideas that deliver powerful stories; finds solutions for stories that don’t land first time
  • Clear about the media results needed to exceed client satisfaction and leads the team in delivering them
  • Creating integrated campaign ideas
  • Leading the overall client relationship, building relationships with senior clients, offering strategic counsel
  • Creating a plan to deliver client work and overseeing successful delivery
  • Creating and overseeing KPIs across the account, ensuring client expectations are met
  • Demonstrating results-focused leadership to client
  • Taking briefs on new campaign strands and leads on creating a response
  • Demonstrating strong negotiation skills to achieve win-win situations with clients
  • Displaying strong presentation skills
  • Effectively putting budgets together  
  • Budgeting projects and renewal proposals for clients
  • Preparing new business proposals in response to briefs received from prospects, co-ordinating input from others as necessary
  • Building relationships with potential new business contacts from previous roles or clients who have moved role
  • Leading on the development of creative ideas for pitches, working them up into a powerful part of the overall response
  • Responsibility for the quality of content across the team
  • Implementing processes/practices to improve organisational skills and demonstrating the ability to manage/prioritise workloads
  • Motivating the team, praising and celebrating individual team achievements to the wider agency
  • Acting as a coach to nurture talent in the agency – acting as a mentor
