Pharma/Life Science PR Account Manager - Senior PR Account Manager
Due to expansion, this award winning Pharma/Life Science specialist PR agency is looking to open a new Manchester office. As such are looking for a highly motivated PR Account Manager/Senior Account Manager with life sciences, pharmaceutical PR experience.
The role will involve working on a number of national and international (a small amount of international travel will be required) life science & pharma clients.
This role gives someone a unique and exciting opportunity of being part of the launch and development of a new office and team. Supported fully by the exisiting agency team, you will be given the chance to prove yourself and develop into a senior position within the agency, having an input on the recruitment and development of the team and Manchester offering.
On a day-to-day basis, you’ll be devising and delivering integrated communications campaigns, writing anything and everything from press releases, technical features, award entries, engaging web copy, case studies, blogs and everything in between. You’ll be a strong writer with excellent spelling and grammar and an eye for detail. If there’s a mistake in something, you’ll spot it a mile off.
With a little black book of contacts (maybe not literally), you’ll have experience utilising your media relations and relationship building talents to develop a strong network of media contacts across specialist pharma/bio/life science/manufacturing media online and offline.
Ideally, you’ll have a couple of years’ experience in a junior to mid-level PR Manager role and will be confident in leading several B2B PR client accounts. You may also be an ambitious senior account executive with a few years of relevant experience and bags of potential.
Duties & responsibilities
Account management - Organising your workload, working to tight deadlines and prioritising tasks to keep on top of multiple campaigns simultaneously.
PR - Planning, development and implementation of PR activities for clients.
Digital - Maintaining and updating information on clients’ websites.
Business development & admin - Help identify and nurture new business relationships, draft proposals and pitch to new clients.
Knowledge & learning- Stay abreast of industry developments and keep up with the latest trends.
