An opportunity has arisen for a Change Communications expert to join an organisation in the Public Sector.
Your new role
Reporting to the Head of Corporate Communications and working closely with the Head of Transformation provide and manage an effective and professional communication and engagement service to enable the effective delivery of the business and operational change programme. You will also develop and implement an internal and external communications strategy for the implementation of the change programme, developing effective and innovative communication channels with officers and staff and, where appropriate, stakeholders including the Authority, government and the rail industry and advise at a senior level on all communication issues.
What you'll need to succeed
You will need to have significant and demonstrated experience and expertise in leading, developing and delivering communications and engagement strategies in support of a large and complex, business change programme. You will have experience in successfully gaining employee buy-in to a major organisational change programme and a track record in delivering clear and consistent communications and engagement strategies. Experience in managing external affairs and reputational issues for a national organization is desirable. A proven record of managing and building solid professional relationships (internally and externally), to get the best out of people at all level is also preferable. You should experience of operating and advising at an executive level. An understanding of the rail and/or policing is ideal.
