Group Account Director, Central London – Up to £75k DOE plus benefits

My client is a multi-award winning integrated, digital and direct marketing agency. They focus on creating meaningful connections between brands and their customers and we achieve this by having all the right people in one place and working with clients and agencies in a spirit of total collaboration. They need a strong Group Account Director to help them lead the charge.

The client services team is central to the agency’s delivery of campaigns and projects for their clients. The Group Account Director has direct responsibility for a portfolio of clients and as such is the face of the agency, leading a matrix client team on a day-to-day basis. Tech and B2B experience is key for this Group Account Director.

The core purpose of a Group Account Director at this agency is to lead the development of a portfolio of clients, driving client revenues, motivating and inspiring a brilliant team and delivering strong creative and marketing product to clients businesses. To help drive broader agency growth through new business, as well as via client growth. To proactively lead the recruitment, development and retention of the best people for your portfolio of accounts and the business as a whole.

We need a Group Account Director with the following qualities:

  • A strong understanding of the marketing industry with 8+ years’ experience gained in an agency or client-side marketing environment
  • Multi-discipline and multi-sector experience (including tech and B2B) working across a number of accounts at the same time
  • An excellent brain for business with demonstrable experience in developing first class strategic campaigns for clients
  • A highly experienced and articulate writer of conceptual and strategic briefs who is able to inspire creative teams in their work and achieve outstanding results every time
  • Highly numerate with a strong understanding of financial management and profitability
  • Significant experience in negotiating with clients - great sales skills are a must
