An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced and professional Account Director to join a highly respected healthcare communications agency that’s part of a huge global marketing & advertising brand, in their Oxford based office. Our client incorporates creative individuals from a scientific and marketing background working within the healthcare education industry, combining talented and enthusiastic people with excellent potential and recognition programmes.

The role of the Account Director includes managing and developing solid client relationships; directing medical education programmes across several departments; assuming responsibility for the account team direction & strategic overview. You will be expected to oversee the development of new programmes; seeking and following business development opportunities; taking responsibility for negotiating and establishing financial arrangements and managing and maintaining key relationships with pharmaceutical industry opinion leaders.

This particular role constitutes working on a large global account for medical affairs clients based in Europe. It’s very strategic, including a variety of activities including lots of innovative online/digital MedEd meetings & congresses. It’s not a usual run-of-the-mill MedEd role – the agency has experienced massive organic growth on the account this year and they are projecting similar growth for next year.

You should already be a senior account handler within a healthcare communications agency and therefore have experience of managing account teams to fulfill and exceed client expectations.
