Category Manager - FMCG + Promotions (Licensing)
The role of Category Manager sits within the consumer products division of a globally successful entertainment business. They are looking for someone to join them for period of leave for 1 year
This is a commercial role and they are looking for someone who has negotiated deals and can work with contracts who has come from the FMCG sector. It doesn't matter whether you have been working in Confectionary or Toilet Cleaner, the important aspect of this role is that you have a full FMCG Blue Chip understanding, this includes; understanding what the key categories are for their brands and franchises, who the experts are and the likely hood to work with them
You will have solid presentation skills and now how to engage blue chip FMCG's and convert that presentation to a retailer and secured partner. You will also need to be client facing and be able to negotiate hard.
As the role of Category Manager, you will be responsible for the management and development of their FMCG & Promotions categories.
The role is a strategic sales role selling product and promotional opportunities to licensees. The position involves developing a strategic plan for the category. Regular travel to effectively manage & provide an excellent service to all partners will be required
