An exciting opportunity has come up to join the music industry and work on the eCommerce business of a large music and entertainment business.
The Site Merchandising Manager supports the Online Trading Manager by merchandising products and promotions on the site in line with the trading calendar, maximising catalogue sales across all ranges
Key Objectives:
- To merchandise products on the website, optimising layout, product hierarchy and related products to maximise trading opportunities in line with the trading calendar
- To merchandise products in line with ranges constructed by the catalogue managers, enabling a positive customer journey
- To merchandise all relevant supplier content onto the site, as decided by the Online Trading Manager
- To ensure all pricing and product descriptions are accurate and displayed correctly
- To ensure overall brand values and specific promotional messages are delivered consistently and accurately
- To contribute to merchandising strategy and calendar planning sessions with the Director of Retail and the retail and commercial marketing teams
- To utilise the website analytics to understand customer behaviours and the trading performance of individual products and to merchandise accordingly
The successful candidate will:
- Have previous merchandising experience gained either online or in-store at a high street retailer or supermarket
- Have excellent IT skills, particularly excel, for data driven decisions on managing online content
- Have strong communication skills with the ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team
- The ability to work under pressure and to put their own and others’ ideas in to action in reaction to trends and changing trading conditions
- Have a good understanding of the market either through personal interest or previous experience in the sale of musical instruments and associated products
