Senior PR Account Executive/Account Manager

Berkshire - commutable from Reading, Basingstoke, London

One of the top PR agencies outside of London are looking for a Senior Account Executive looking to move quickly into an Account Manager role or a recently appointed Account Manager. They run business-to-business and business-to-consumer campaigns for organisations that have science, engineering or technology at their core including many well-known brands.

Responsibilities of the Senior Account Executive/ Account Manager

  • Supervising and motivating account executives to get the best results in line with agreed deliverables. Maintaining an organised account and taking responsibility with minimal support from account managers. And in time, manage resourcing levels and time sheets with guidance from managers.
  • Drafting communications plans and continually evaluating objectives.
  • Drafting high-quality written content - Ability to draft content that only requires exceptional amends and is engaging.
  • Securing national briefing opportunities and selling in creative ideas, setting an example for account executives. Proactively searching for ways to extend the success of a project or sell-in in order to secure top tier coverage.
  • Acting as project manager for events such as press conferences, press tours, training days and conferences.
  • Managing social media accounts for various clients.
  • Contributing to new business meetings and preparation, including inputting into proposals.

Skills required of the Senior Account Executive/ Account Manager

  • Problem-solver with strong time-management skills
  • Meticulous written and spoken communication skills - including presentation skills
  • Two years' experience in public relations
