Direct / CRM and digital marketing experienced Business Director / Managing Partner designate is sought to work at a stunning off Oxford Street agency on one of the agency’s flagship accounts.

This role has been briefed exclusively to Fill Recruitment – you won’t find this role advertised anywhere else.

The Business Director Role

You are an established Business Director or Group Account Director who could be looking for a promotion to Managing Partner in the next year or so.

You are a senior leader on your client’s business: the person the Marketing Director turns to for advice and reassurance when faced with challenges, changes in strategy and the opportunity to invest in new channels.

You are commercially aware and have a natural flair for business development. You’re adept at spotting opportunities and create the right ‘selling’ climate with your clients. You develop strategies with your Account Directors to fill the sales pipeline. You are constantly looking for ways to grow the business.

You passionately believe in award-winning creativity and can persuade even the most hesitant client to buy brave and provocative work – as well as inspire the most challenging team to deliver to the highest standard. You have a desire to stimulate ideas across off line and digital channels/technical platforms.

You’re also incredibly generous with your time: providing guidance and support to your team to deliver on a day to day basis and develop professionally. Your team trust and respect you.

In short, you are a strong leader with gravitas and empathy, an exceptional knowledge of the CRM world and passion for creativity. You’re pushing at the heels of the management team.

The Account

You will be working on the biggest account at the agency and the work involves all BTL customer comms including CRM, acquisition, business to business comms and management of large customer facing websites.

The agency utilise all direct channels including Email, Direct Mail, SMS & MMS, Social Media and IVR. The account team is 15 strong which includes two Senior Account Directors, each responsible for distinct business areas:

1] A loyalty and rewards proposition which provides customers with everyday offers and experiences

2] Strategy and customer comms to a small business audience

3] Customer comms throughout the lifecycle to drive advocacy and maximise customer revenue

4] Priority websites: acquisition and brand communications through direct channels

The Experience and Skills Required

  •  8+ years agency experience including 3-5 supervisory experience
  •  Strong strategic thinking
  •  Experience at developing effective creative
  •  Self-motivated
  •  Excellent writing and presentation skills
  •  Analytics minded with strong financial skills
  •  BTL experience, including EM, DM, content and customer engagement
  •  Experience with B2C clients and/or telecoms a plus

Personality Required

You should be a confident, approachable, friendly person who enjoys an informal yet professional and rigorous working environment.

The agency is open and flexible in nature and you should be too. You will also be assertive and confident in your dealing with clients whilst demonstrating understanding of their business needs and objectives.
