Your new role
As the Press and Communications Officer, you will play an extremely important role in carrying healthcare messages from medical professionals to the general public, using your excellent communications skills to ensure this is accessible, understandable, and able to reach its audience. You will be able to quickly build rapport with the media, and use this to convey your messages and answer queries. The ability to use Twitter to connect with your audience is essential, as well as the ability to remain calm under pressure. Involvement in the communications strategy will be required, exposing you to areas of the business which will inevitably enhance your professional development.
What you'll need to succeed
We are looking for those with an experience in a health and social care environment or at least an interest in public health, with demonstrable experience as a Press Officer/Communications professional. You will be an independent worker, with plenty of initiative and drive, and be comfortable dealing with sensitive data.
