Head of eCommerce, c. to £80k, London, Fashion brand
We are pleased to be supporting a rapidly expanding, niche Fashion Retail brand based in Central London who are looking to hire a Head of eCommerce to the team. The business has been in operation for over 5 years, selling in 60+ countries globally, and experiencing 200% YoY growth.
The Head of eCommerce role is designed for a professional with a broad background in Digital Marketing who has experience of selling a product, ideally with some knowledge of overall web/user journey.
Although Digital Marketing is currently managed via 3rd party agencies, the Head of eCommerce will be tasked with recruiting a small team and bringing many of these functions in-house in 2017.
Key responsibilities;
- Own and drive the top line online sales number
- Manage online margin through effective pricing and promotional activities
- Own, manage and execute the online activities across the eCommerce function
- Attract new and existing visitors to the eCommerce proposition via all customer acquisition methodologies including but not limited to Paid Social, SEO, PPC, e-mail, Affiliates, Display etc
- Own, manage and execute the onsite merchandising and conversion activities including but not limited to, product promotions, price promotions, special campaigns etc
- Produce and present frequent online sales budgets and forecasts that feed into the wider eCommerce fiscal governance structure
- Assess and implement commercial/sales opportunities to maximise online revenue and profitability
Key skills required;
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to senior stakeholders.
- Commercially astute with a proven track record of growing online sales in a large multi-channel organisation
- Ability to motivate teams with niche skill sets in a competitive marketplace
- Broad understanding of multiple eCommerce / Digital Marketing skill sets including, SEM, e-mail, re-targeting, affiliate programmes, SEO, CRM
- An up-to-date understanding of eCommerce trends and the latest online sales tactics/best practice
