Digital Marketing Manager (Freelance)

Who we are

The Little Orchestra ("London's chillest classical music ensemble" - Time Out) is a newcomer to the professional orchestral music scene in London that puts on events in made-over, unclassical spaces, with the aim of attracting a new, young audience to classical and other music.

We are looking for a creative and multi-talented individual to develop, manage and provide content for our entire online presence, from our website (new website in development) - including a blog - to newsletters (MailChimp), Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Spotify, YouTube, SoundCloud, Snapchat, digital advertising and listings.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for an individual with a fluent and intuitive understanding of the workings and potential of the various social media channels to develop our social media presence in a natural and authentic way. In conjunction with this the successful candidate will manage the content of our website, including a blog, through a customized WordPress CMS, as well as an SEO strategy and traffic analysis using Google Analytics.

The role

The role also includes managing our paid-for online advertising, including PPC campaigns, creating content for our newsletters, and listing our events on appropriate sites online.

We are looking for a creative individual who is able to generate interesting content for the various channels of our online presence, including natural, engaging copy that reflects who we are and what we do, embracing photography, video and audio as well. A good eye for design and layout and attention to detail are important. The ability to edit images, video and audio is highly desirable, and other graphic design skills would be advantageous.

Given who we are - an orchestra providing ‘a great night out’ experience in London and elsewhere -  we are looking for an individual who has a good sense of and a keen interest in innovative events happening in the capital and beyond and a broad interest in culture and entertainment in general.

We are, essentially, looking for an individual with a passion for music and an ability and enthusiasm to communicate in a natural, engaging way about classical music in particular.

This is a fantastic opportunity to become involved in the orchestra’s development at this early stage and take a lead role in how we grow our audience. As we are a small team, extra talents and abilities are welcome, and for the right person there is the potential to become increasingly involved in our operation as we grow.

Work is from home, with meetings on Skype and in central London as necessary.

We are offering a per hour rate dependent on the quality of the candidate (£15 - £25 per hour) and estimate an average of 10 - 15 hours of work per week.
