Job Role
Content Manager

With a strong heritage in Bristol, this business is an eCommerce pureplay and a hub for cutting edge digital development. Heading up a team of 3, you will be the go-to on all things content for the organisation’s owned digital platforms. With eCommerce being such an important channel for them, this is a hugely exciting challenge to ensure the sites are optimised fully for all customers.

What you’ll be doing

Your unit will sit as part of a wider digital team alongside UX, analytics and development. Being the content specialist in the business, your role will be to ensure that all content on these platforms is of the highest quality and is in line with the voice of brand. This will involve you understanding what is required to both engage the customer and optimise usability across all digital touchpoints, in turn driving conversions and subsequently business growth. However, this is a massive team effort. Directly, you’ll manage staff handling the production and placement of website content. Outside of this you’ll form key relationships with the UX and analytical teams, allowing you to pay close attention on where these changes need to be made. The Head of eCommerce will be on hand to discuss strategy and act as a point of support, so lots of benefits to the team approach here.

What experience you’ll need

Put simply, the right person will be a digital content specialist with a strong understanding of UX principles. This isn’t a UX role, but as it aligns so closely with content it’s key to have an innate understanding of what users want to see and what will help drive conversions. Given the management responsibilities you might be surprised to hear this isn’t a must, but having worked with similar stakeholders as a project manager would help enormously.

What you’ll get in return for your talents

The team are looking at a salary of up to £35k for this one. There is a possibility of some flexibility here, but it really depends on the level of content and UX experience on the CV. Additional benefits include a 10% bonus, 25 days holiday, pension, bike to work scheme and a season ticket loan.

What’s next?

As ever this is an urgent one, so please drop Joe a note to hear the finer details.
