Job Role
Data Analyst

With a strong heritage in Bristol, this business is an eCommerce pureplay and a hub for cutting edge digital development. What better way to craft your skills in this area than as a Junior Web Analyst. Working to optimise conversions for a complex customer journey, you’ll receive excellent training so a can-do attitude and a passion for digital is a must have.

What you’ll be doing

Being a pureplay this business relies heavily on ensuring that the user journey is fully optimised. Can the customer find what they’re looking for? If not, at what point are they changing their minds and leaving the site. All excellent questions, but your role is centred around the “why”. You’ll do this by analysing all the digital platforms and additional data sources to gather insights into conversion performance. This might be through Google Analytics data, MVT and a/b testing or one of the many other tricks this business has up their sleeve. It’ll be your job to work alongside the Analytics Manager and deliver these insights to the wider team, in turn deciding what areas to act upon. Ultimately, your actions will have a massive impact on the performance of a large eCommerce setup.

What experience you’ll need

Experience of working on analytics for a digital platform would be fantastic, eCommerce or otherwise. Being able to run a/b or MVT testing would also lend itself well to the role. What’s more important for this business, though, is someone who has a passion to burst onto the analytics scene. You might have some experience but overall someone with strong excel skills, an amazing attention to detail and a personable approach will do very well here.

What you’ll get in return for your talents

The salary on this one is at £19k, plus a 10% (discretionary) bonus, 25 days holiday, generous pension, season ticket loan, bike to work scheme and more. It’s also worth mentioning that there are lots of opportunities for progression here in analytics and other areas of the business.
