Job Role
Web Designer
We’re looking for a Senior User Interface (UI) Designer to join a mobile apps team in North Wiltshire. Working as part of the wider research and innovation department of this technology led business you will help to craft connected solutions for a range of physical products. The focus for this role will be blending digital technology seamlessly with products in the real world; you’ll get hands on with brand new technologies and explore things like the Internet of Things (IOT) in this exciting position.

What you’ll be doing

Working alongside the current UX/UI team your focus will be in UI design and specifically in the mobile app space. In this role you will be responsible for the conceptual design of App interfaces across multiple platforms and devices. You’ll collaborate closely with the UX Designers and product owners to create cohesive UI kits that ensure a consistent language across their raft of products. As well as working hands on to deliver user interfaces as a senior, you will help to lead and grow more junior members of the team. Ultimately this team is fairly new to the business and the opportunity here is to work on a whole raft of new and truly unique products. You’ll get to work with emerging technologies long before they hit the market and have the opportunity to work closely with a team that always puts the user first.

What experience you’ll need

Here we need a digital specialist with a solid standing in mobile UI design. You’ll be used to working across multiple devices and have huge passion when it comes to new technologies and the increasingly connected digital world. In the portfolio it’ll be crucial we get an understanding of this so any mobile app or responsive projects will really catch our eye here. As this is a fairly new team for the business and there will be a lot of stakeholders involved it’s important you’re confident when it comes to managing these relationships. You’ll be concise when talking about your ideas and have a good understanding of what will and won’t work in this space. It goes without saying that you’ll be a dab hand in the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and although you won’t be working on UX deliverables you’ll know all too well its importance in design and be able to collaborate well with UX specialists.

What you’ll get in return for your talents

The benefits on offer for this position are fantastic. Not only will you be joining a new team and be working on some truly rewarding projects you’ll be awarded generous holiday, flexible working, a company wide bonus scheme and a truly stunning working environment to boot.

What’s next?

To be considered please apply with an up to date CV and portfolio of work. Ensure to make your experience in mobile app and multiple devices obvious in your CV or portfolio.
