Business Development Manager - Finance, Projects & Litigation | London | Professional Services

My client is global legal services firm with a reputation for innovation and exceptional client service. In this newly created role you will be part of a centralised BD team which supports the development and implementation of the firm's strategy and helps drive profitable revenue growth (through existing and new clients) as well as develop and deliver a clear brand proposition through their sector focus.
Reporting to the Director of Business Development with a dotted line to the Divisional Head the Business Development Manager will sit within the central BD function providing support both the Finance & Projects and Litigation Divisions. The goal is for the Divisional BDM to work with the wider team of specialists from across the business to deliver the divisional strategy.

Key responsibilities will include:
*Prioritising campaigns through discussion with Divisional Heads
*Leading the planning and execution of profile raising and targeting campaigns
*Driving promotions/campaigns, planning follow-up activity and tracking return on investment
*Working with the divisional leadership to develop/update divisional business plans, client targeting and conversion, driving greater cohesion and rigor
*Co-ordinating and acting as coach for relevant pitch opportunities

The successful candidate will /will be
*Able to lead a team and delegate
*Work with specialist teams across BD to achieve objectives eg. Communications and Marketing
*Able to bring people together from multiple sectors and directorates to align support for BD projects
*Highly organised with the ability to prioritise workload according to business need
*Able to manage competing tasks to completion against tight deadlines
*Competent communicator with confidence to interact professionally with senior leadership, other colleagues and externally
*Relevant divisional knowledge a bonus but the ability to learn about what we do and really understand the work is a necessity
*Able to motivate, engage and coach relevant individuals
