Product Information Manager role based in Birmingham with strong potential to go permanent. Up to £350 a day.

Your new company
You will be working for a worldwide leading distributor of electrical supplies based at their office in Birmingham. They are urgently looking to recruit a Product Information Manager into their team on a temporary to permanent basis.

Your new role
You will be responsible for managing the client's Product Information Management (PIM) and Digital Asset Management (DAM) platform.

Essential Duties:
Serves as the liaison between the Product and Marketing departments and Supply Chain departments, in the collection, maintenance and use of product and supplier information managed in the PIM.
Provide leadership, direction, and project management to ensure successful delivery and operations.
Lead the implementation of ETIM - a worldwide uniform classification for technical products.
Coordinates projects related to data enrichment, data cleansing and process improvement by defining and managing project scope, deliverables, resources required, and timelines.
Creation of bespoke customer catalogues and their management on eProcurement platforms.
The integration and implementation of incoming and outgoing data feeds, data governance, and system administration.
Provides training to users in utilising the PIM.
Creation, business alignment and delivery of PIM roadmap.
Identify, develop, and integrate business processes related to PIM & DAM into the overall digital customer experience strategy.

What you'll need to succeed
3+ years of experience architecting solutions in Product Information Management and/or Digital Asset Management space *Electrical/MRO industry product knowledge (ideal)
*Experience with data transformation, mapping and configuration
*Vendor management
*Strong proficiency in Excel, Access and other Microsoft Office products.

Team management experience 2+ years Skills/Abilities/Competencies:
*Proven people skills, working successfully in a team context and with many stakeholders.
*Proven consultative, project management and multi-tasking skills.
*Problem solver that uses information, judgment and logic to assess carefully before acting on the optimal solution.
*Working SEO knowledge.
Experience working to uniform classification systems (ETIM, eClass etc)
*Effective communicator across multi-functional teams.
*A motivated self-starter with the ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively with other groups in the organization.
*Ability to set priories, but remain flexible in changing environment.
*Team player who enjoys collaborating with others, but also has the ability to manage projects with minimal direction.
*Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
