Interim Internal & External Communications Officer role for a period of up to 9 months in the Scarborough area

An interim opportunity has arisen for an experienced communications candidate who has worked across both internal and external channels, to join a leading organisation to support with additional projects for a period of up to 9 months.

This leading organisation has a number of key stakeholders that they need to engage with and they have a need to recruit for an experienced candidate to join their team to help support with numerous marketing and communications projects

Your new role
As a key part of the existing communications function, you will play a vital role in the development and delivery of an effective communications strategy, with particular focus on internal communications and events management. You will take the lead in developing and managing communications strategies across relevant platforms. Internal and external stakeholder management will be a key responsibility, leading regular internal meetings ensuring all communications reflect organisation guidelines. Management of events such as functions and conferences will be part of the role. You will also be required to develop communications content and carry out other ad-hoc tasks such as editing publications.

What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate will have strong oral and written communication skills in addition to having excellent interpersonal skills. Previous experience in a communications focused position will be critical to succeed. You will have a communications or marketing degree, or similar qualification, along with relevant industry experience. A confident leader, you will be able to delegate work to others in order to deliver excellent results on time and to budget. Confidence using your own initiative to solve problems will be essential to succeed in this role, as is the need to engage with stakeholders, both internally and externally, at all levels.
