Our client is the UK's leading shopper media agency. They are a multi-award winning agency with a unique specialisation and an unrivalled client list.
The Media Buyer role is part of our Media Buying Team, which is a service department to the Client team. The function of the Client team is to create and deliver great marketing instore by taking a client brief and working with the supermarkets and their media contractors, to deliver a great cross-retail, multi-touch-point marketing plan better, simpler and more efficiently than clients could do it themselves. The Media Buying Team are responsible for booking those plans through the supermarkets and their media contractors, owning and developing these relationships, negotiating commercial agreements and securing the most competitive rates for our clients on each booking.

Key responsibilities, skills and characteristics

*Develop and maintain a detailed knowledge of all grocery retail media (in-store and digital) specifically in the big retailers
*Operate a booking / trading process with precision, responsiveness and accuracy.
*Manage day-to-day negotiations with media contractors to achieve great value rates for our clients on each booking.
*Ensure the efficient execution of the media through securing prime siting and managing store lists to make the campaign as successful as possible.
*Take responsibility for developing relationships with media contractors, proactively seeking more efficient ways of working and spotting opportunities to improve Capture's commercial terms.
*Support the Media Buying Manager in the implementation of new processes and systems, working to ensure these are adhered to day-to-day.
*Support the Media Buying Manager with developing the overall media buying team strategy in order to keep driving margin growth.
*Work on company-wide projects not associated with your day-to-day work.


You will report to the Media Buying Manager.

The shopper media landscape is complex and ever-changing, therefore, we are looking for an exceptional candidate - honest, hungry, foolish and fun who combines razor-sharp commercial ability with great communications skills and a high degree of organisation and project management.

Your internal customers are the client-facing team, who require a media trading service that is responsive and agile. As the gateway to spend, they depend on the media buying team to make it happen, quickly, and at a desirable rate.

You will be familiar with the media trading industry, able to discuss and negotiate activity costs/rates in both gross and net terms, familiar with media commission structures and rebates.

You will be a skilled negotiator and more importantly, understand the various factors driving value in a complex transaction and leverage them to the advantage of the company and it`s clients.

You may currently be working at an agency or a client, or in a related company or industry. It's likely that you have 3 to 5 years' experience. You have a track record of delivering success and business and personal growth.

Organisation - when working for demanding clients, there is no room for mistakes. An organised, thorough approach with an eye for detail and contingency planning is essential.
Teamwork & Communication -You will need to be able to talk confidently to media partners and get projects moving, as well as show sensitivity when required when dealing with other stakeholders.
Qualifications - you will probably hold a degree (2:1 or better) and a B or above in GCSE English and Maths.

Pay and Benefits:
Salary: Competitive for the right candidate + 20% performance-driven bonus
Location - London Bridge, with travel to client sites as necessary.
25 days annual leave
Company pension.
