Account Director / Partner Director - Loyalty / CRM

One of the UK's leading loyalty consultancies is searching for a Partner Director to join their central account management function, supporting one of the UK's leading retailers in their customer relationship marketing programme.

This role requires someone with a data driven CRM background, and with experience of working with retail brands. You need to understand the needs of the customer and challenges retailers may face in building relationships with them.

Your background should be in multichannel targeted comms, with a focus on engaging with the customer, driving more value from them and understanding how to nudge them.

You interface with the client on a daily basis (normally over the phone or though working on site) and will champion the client within the consultancy, ensuring you are always working to the client's objectives.

You will need to take strategic ownership of projects, coordinating resource as appropriate, and will need to be comfortable with a level of ambiguity as clients often approach the business with a very broad question or idea, which requires shaping into a solution or project. Thus you need to be proactive, creatively minded, commercially aware (to ensure that said if idea can actually be implemented) and strong in managing multiple work streams.

You will also manage a small team of three, so people management experience is key.

Finally, it's worth noting these roles are not 'data heavy' but more 'customer driven'. The consultancy offers a lot of analytical services, but ultimately it's their job to provide improved customer relationships, loyalty and sales through the use of customer data within marketing.

  • Educated to degree level in a relevant and ideally numerate subject
  • Either experience from agency or client side will be considered, in either account management or CRM campaign delivery
  • This is much more than a relationship management role, you need to be able to work with customer data to develop recommendations and insights for end clients and project management the delivery of loyalty and customer based solutions.
  • Your counterparts within the analyst teams are there to support and help you in delivering an actionable change for the client, so working collaboratively with technical teams is a must.
  • Experience of working on or with retail brands I essential.
  • Experience of managing people is essential.

SALARY - £45k - £55k plus 15% bonus & excellent benefits

TERM - 9 months , strong chance of a permanent role beyond this
