This is an opportunity to join a fresh and exciting joint venture between United Utilities and Severn Trent and be part of a team to shape our market approach from the start. We are joining forces to set innovative standards for the water industry as a new business Water Plus. You will be located in a brand new office, in a central location with excellent transport links and on-site parking.

Your new role
As Communications Manager for Water Plus you will be responsible for managing all external and internal communications for the business. You will develop and implement and internal communications and engagement strategy, and work with stakeholders across the business to form an external communications strategy that meets business objectives. Working with a wide range in internal and external stakeholders, the Communications Manager will manage the delivery of internal and external communications, including running the press office function and communications campaigns. Key accountabilities include: Strategic and Brand Communications, Internal Communications, Content and Publications, PR and Media, Campaigns, Event Management and Budget Management.

What you'll need to succeed
As Communications Manager you must have strong communications knowledge and experience across a range of marketing communication both internal and external and PR disciplines. You must be able to demonstrate success in delivering either in-house or at an agency, large-scale integrated communications activity. To be successful, you should have experience of developing and managing intranets, websites and digital activities and be able to plan and manage multi-channel campaigns and events. The ideal candidate will have excellent planning, organisation and delivery skills and be an excellent communicator. You will be educated of graduate calibre with a professional qualification in PR or Communications with a proactive, can-do attitude with excellent attention to detail.

What you'll get in return
My client is offering a salary of £50,000-£55,000 plus an excellent benefits package and the chance to join a brand new business during this exciting launch phase.
