Hints, tips and advice…

Don’t ignore the word count

Last year our judges were inundated with entries and this year looks no different! It takes a long time to do this in a considered way, so please don’t extend the process by exceeding any word counts or going over the entry deadline. Judges are on a deadline too!

Include supporting evidence

Adding context and background to your entry is important. Facts and figures can substantially improve your awards entry, but remember your entry isn’t just judged on numbers, it’s about the overall story, so be sure to submit the right kind of facts and figures.

Don’t leave it too late!

Don’t wait until the deadline is imminent! It’ll only cause you to rush through the entry process and may result in mistakes being made! Leave yourself plenty of time to create a compelling awards entry.

Consult colleagues and use testimonials

Internal crowdsourcing might be the best way to create a standout awards entry. Make sure you consult with colleagues when compiling your entry to ensure you have covered everything in full! The use of client testimonials is also a great way to add credibility to your story so don’t forget to include them if applicable.

Be passionate, be creative, be concise

It goes without saying that real passion can help your words to jump off the page. Don’t hide your light under a bushel! We want to read passionate success stories, detailing how you and your team and excelled and have made a positive impact to not only your business but to the wider Marketing and Digital Recruitment industry. Make sure you read the questions carefully, answer with creativity but be concise and remember to use statistics to highlight your successes.
