This is an opening for a Senior Communications Executive with a large business services provider, specialising in exhibition and conference facilities. The role will include supporting the strategic planning and will lead the tactical delivery of communication activities by raising the venue profile and managing their reputation.

The role

The role will span the full mix of communication disciplines and involve engagement across the venues diverse range of stakeholders. As Senior Communications Executive, you will be reporting to the Assistant Director of Marketing and Communications in order to develop tactical plans in response to the overall business strategy, and will line manage two direct reports adopting a one team approach to working, successfully integrating with other team members across the wider business. This is a varied role where you will be involved in the management and development social media presence, supporting marketing campaign activity by devising and implementing appropriate communications. You will also deliver and develop the stakeholder engagement strategy, build relationships with key city partners and stakeholders, and will monitor the organisation's public image and reputation across online and offline platforms. This will occasionally involve crisis communications as you will be required to support the senior management team should a crisis occur. In addition to this, you will be the main contact for all onsite press and media activity, and will implement the business award strategy to include the planning and writing of all award submissions.

What we're looking for

As Senior Communications Executive, it's very important that you possess strong integrated writing experience, and are able to write sharp copy and content as this is a large part of the role. It is envisaged that you'll have at least four years' experience which has been gained in a similar corporate communications role, whether that be from agency, client-side, or public sector. Most importantly, it's essential that you're used to multi-tasking as this role has many aspects from social media and content, to press and stakeholder management; therefore you will need to be a competent all-rounder who enjoys a fast-paced, reactive role. Line management experience would also be preferred as you will be responsible for a team.
