Description

The newly created role of business development manager is a high profile addition to the team reporting into the UK Director of Business Development you will assist in delivering the strategic growth of the organisation. Responsibilities include:-

  • Identifying, targeting, and cultivating new business relationships within the retail and consumer sectors.
  • Developing and executing a strategic sales plan to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
  • Understanding customer needs, offer tailored solutions, and create compelling proposals.
  • Building and maintaining long-lasting client relationships to foster repeat business and referrals.
  • Staying up-to-date with industry trends and market developments to capitalise on emerging opportunities.
  • Collaboration with operations and customer service teams to ensure seamless service delivery.

Profile

The successful Business development manager will have/be

  • Proven experience as a Business Development Manager in the logistics and warehousing industry.
  • A “hunter” mentality, coupled with a self-starter attitude to drive new business acquisition.
  • Deep knowledge of the retail and consumer logistics landscape.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong network and relationships within the industry.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
