Senior Technical Project Manager

Our client is a leading global business communications agency, which is focused on helping some of the world’s best known corporates to develop their B2B communications. They work across multiple channels which encompasses a great digital product that produces measurable results and elevates their clients presence globally.

The role
In this role you will be responsible for leading our Application Development team in successfully delivering our digital solutions. You will have responsibility for leading the definition of our technical solutions and for leading your team and delivering high calibre and profitable technical solutions for our clients, taking responsibility for technical delivery, resource planning and team management and engagement, as well as engaging in broader management duties to help facilitate the operational effectiveness of the company.

Your key responsibilities

  • Solutions Development and Delivery
  • Support system/technical specifications with your ability to quickly understand processes and to develop technical solutions to support client business strategies
  • Support delivery implementations by ensuring impediments are properly dealt with by helping developers build code to highest possible standards
  • Understand the underlying business drivers and technology solution in enough detail to anticipate risks, issues and dependencies that may impact delivery (timeline, cost and/or quality)
  • Take overall responsibility for the successful and timely delivery of all projects, and proactively monitor, manage and report on the execution of technical project deliverables
  • Circulate reports that keep stakeholders in the loop on project status and to remain in-sync with the latest development schedule and priorities
  • Ensure that the teams implement all QA processes and procedures
  • Ensure all team members understand and follow all financial processes and procedures
  • Attend weekly digital meetings to report on and gain feedback on progress of each project within the team
  • Act as a central contact for all BS teams to ensure successful delivery of digital solutions.

    Team management
  • Effectively manage the Application Development team on a day to day basis, acting as a central point of contact for the team
  • Provide guidance on project resources, proactively assigning work and providing instructions, advice and technical/business leadership and guidance to project staff, reviewing work in progress in a timely manner and assessing completed work for accuracy, required results and quality
  • Hold weekly team meetings to monitor progress of each account and plan future activities for the following week
  • Act as team mentor and take responsibility for the development and engagement of all team members
  • Review each team member’s performance, identify actions to develop their careers and improve overall performance
