Social Media Specialist
Location: Office based in Weybridge, Surrey
Contract: Permanent, Full time
Salary: £24,500 pa + Excellent Benefits
Our client works in 25 of the poorest countries. Their work is Christ centred, church based and child focused, linking one child with one sponsor.
This role sits within the Marketing Team, which contributes to the charity's strategic and operating success by managing their brand in the marketplace.
They are looking for a passionate Christian social media professional, able to produce creative, effective and inspiring content to encourage engagement and spread the message of their ministry to children in poverty.
You’ll need to have at least one year’s social media experience in a business environment with a solid understanding of social media communications and metric, the ability to use multimedia creation software, written communications experience and a high level of computer literacy. Video edition and previous experience with monitoring systems such as Hootsuite desirable skills for this role.
The Social Media Specialist will also be required to actively promote, maintain and articulate the organisation's Christian ethos and values.
To develop and manage this charity's social media channel, promoting a correct and positive reflection of their name and brand.
- Promote and maintain the charity's Christian Ethos and Values;
- Management and development of their social media channels;
- Content creation including blogs, social media collateral and videos;
- Provide general communication support.
N.B. There is an occupational requirement for the Social Media Specialist to have an active personal commitment to the Christian faith.
This is a permanent post office based role working 35 hours per week Monday to Friday. (N.B. Office Relocation: The office is currently in Weybridge, Surrey and will relocate to Fleet, Hampshire in June 2018).
