Head of Performance Media

 

Reporting to the Director of Marketing.

 

They will be accountable for delivery in the following areas:

 

  • Reporting to the CMO, your objective is to grow customer conversion through performance media channels
  • Full Ownership of the Performance Media Budgeted spend and ROI
  • Working closely with the Data Science & Marketing teams to leverage technology platforms, tools, web analytics and competitor monitoring to drive campaign efficiency and performance
  • Take responsibility for the implementation of the paid media strategy including paid search, paid social, native and display
  • Blend intuition, experience and analysis to ensure performance is never in doubt and any issues are foreseen early
  • Ensure knowledge is kept up-to-date on emerging trends, industry best practice and latest developments across key platforms, where applicable leverage for business benefit
  • Manage relationships with key third-parties and leverage to maximise business benefit
  • Be a stakeholder in any internal projects and developments within the company that could affect paid media performance
  • Work with colleagues across the marketing function and wider business to exploit synergies and ensure a collaborative and optimal approach at every opportunity
  • Deliver transparent, accurate and actionable insights on a proactive basis
  • Own paid media performance and ensure delivery against KPIs and targets âre responsible for delivery of volumes by channel and channel level CPAs
  • Responsible for managing a team of PPC specialists and analysts including day-to-day management, mentoring and training
  • Working within both a B2C and B2B context.
  • Any other duties as are within the scope, spirit and purpose of the job as requested by your line manager.

 

Essential Experience:

 

  • Experience working with a performance media platform such as Marin, Double Click, Kenshoo 
  • Experience of all major SEM platforms Google Analytics, Adwords, Bing Ads, Yahoo Search Marketing, Display, YouTube, DSPs,
  • Remarketing and Facebook marketing activities. etc.
  • Capable of contributing to and implementing a paid search, paid social, native and display strategy in parallel
  • Hands-on experience of building, growing and optimising large scale paid search portfolios.
  • A seamless ability to source, analyse and interpret findings from data
  • First-class Excel capability
  • Experience of working on PPC accounts and managing paid search spends upwards of £5m
  • Proven leadership skills and ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced, delivery oriented environment
  • Able to inspire, train and develop new team members
  • Strong technical understanding (able to interface directly with colleagues in IT)

 

Desirable Experience:

 

  • Awareness and experience using SQL an advantage
  • Adwords and Bing Professional Certification
  • Competent in using tag management systems
