Freelance Marketing Manager
Clientside / Inhouse - Marketing Manager - tourism marketing experience essential - 3-6 month contract - £35-40k p.a - Central London
My client, whilst retaining its charity/Not for Profit status and identity, is the number 1 name in travel and tourism in Britain and based in the heart of London are a hugely commercial business with big budgets, big resources and big ideas! They are experiencing a hugely busy time of the year any way, and tied in with several staff being away in December and January, the purpose of the Marketing Manager role is to hit the ground running and pick up /cover a period of high campaign delivery.
To develop, implement, monitor and evaluate international communication and marketing strategies, plans and campaigns in line with organisational objectives, by working closely with all areas of the business (including commercial, digital, public relations, content, trade, insights and evaluations, and the global network) and managing a wide range of external stakeholders.
Degree or equivalent level education in marketing and/or communications.
Minimum five years' marketing/communication experience, including international marketing and campaigns experience.
Minimum three years' experience in the tourism marketing industry.
Solid marketing/communication experience, preferably within both an agency and client side marketing environment.
Understanding and application of marketing principles and processes.
Understanding of the role of the consumer journey in developing and implementing marketing and communication activity.
Extensive experience developing, implementing, monitoring and evaluating integrated brand and tactical strategies and campaigns across a broad range of formats/media, including TV, print, radio, social and online.
Proven experience managing multiple teams across the business to facilitate delivery of integrated campaigns.
Experience managing multiple external stakeholders, including central government, public diplomacy partners, destination marketing organisations, travel trade and commercial partners.
Commitment to ensuring all marketing activity adheres to the organisation's brand positioning and guidelines.
Understanding of digital marketing, including PPC, SEO, eCRM and social media.
Knowledge of marketing and communication metrics and ability to set and measure campaign KPIs, and optimise performance to maximise ROI.
Ability to evaluate campaign success using a range of tools including Google Analytics, media tracking and commercial data.
Knowledge and application of the Government Communication Service Evaluation Framework.
Experience managing media agencies, including briefing, planning, buying, dispatch, optimisation and evaluation processes.
Experience managing creative agencies, including briefing, concept, finalising creative, dispatch and optimisation processes.
Ability to understand and apply audience and marketing insights, with the support of the research and insights team.
The interviews will be held Wednesday 22nd - Friday 24th November, with a start Monday 27th November. They will pay between £35-40k depending on experience, and this could run until May next year.
