Marketing Executive - Luxury Travel


This global events company offers an great opportunity to work on their Travel Exhibitions’ exciting portfolio of luxury travel events; International Luxury Travel Market - the leading 'by invitation-only’ events for the global luxury travel community taking place in Cannes, Singapore, Shanghai, Tokyo, Dubai, Cape Town, Sao Paulo and the Riviera Maya, Mexico. This role will also support a new launch LGBT travel event in London in 2018.


Team Structure: Marketing Coordinator, Marketing Executive x 2, Senior Marketing Executive, Marketing Manager


Job Purpose: Design and execute marketing campaigns and strengthen brand


Key Responsibilities:


  • Strategy
  • Producing marketing communications plans
  • Strategic development of ILTM Media programme
  • Planning, Campaign and Implementation
  • Implementation of buyer and exhibitor promotional campaigns
  • Planning and implementing research
  • Ability to manage key strategic external relationships
  • Managing show website, social media campaigns, sourcing content for communications, print production, show database, agency briefings
  • Collaborating with Sales, Operations and Customer Services and central marketing teams to ensure a good quality event delivery
  • Information analysis
  • Analysis of campaigns to identify areas of improvement
  • Provide recommendation and insight about campaign performance to improve key metrics
  • Monitoring and collating media coverage from publications and websites
  • Monitoring competitor activities
  • Demonstrating market knowledge and continues to gain industry information
  • Producing post show data audit
  • Communications
  • Demonstrating high level of attention to detail, copywriting, briefings, managing costs, meeting deadlines
  • Website content management
  • External Relationships
  • Ability to manage key strategic external relationships
  • Budget Management
  • Accurately record and forecast costs against budget
  • Administration
  • Dealing with exhibitor, buyer and media enquiries
  • Ensuring customer needs are being met by monitoring customer requests, questions and queries


Ideal Candidate Profile:


  • Proactive rather than reactive
  • Regularly takes on more responsibility and delivers effective results
  • Strong systems knowledge - experience with Eloqua, Wordpress and Salesforce preferable
  • High analytical and problem solving skills
  • Raises red flags with managers and proposes solutions
  • Produces work to such a high standard that they can be given full responsibility on projects without manager involvement
  • Needs limited input from Marketing Manager on a day to day basis
  • Excellent copywriting and verbal communication skills
  • Strong experience in online and offline direct marketing
  • Good database management skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to be able to communicate effectively with internal and external contacts
  • Strong time and project management skills
  • Excellent multi- tasking skills and ability to prioritise
  • Ability to meet deadlines within budget and under pressure
  • Structured approach to problem solving
  • Online content management / Web skills
  • A friendly attitude and team player
  • Willingness to take a high level of responsibility
  • Excellent IT skills
  • Experience in a publishing / event / exhibition background would be an advantage
