Marketing Executive - Travel Exhibitions


An exciting opportunity has arisen with this global world leading events organiser, with over 500 events in 30 countries. The successful candidate will join the marketing team to work on this company's leading Meetings, Events and Business Travel Portfolio. This role requires the execution of marketing plans, supporting new business development and strengthening brand awareness for events, in line with customer segmentation.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Planning, co-ordinating and implementing exhibitor and Hosted Buyer campaigns (on and offline)
  • Working with data team to analyse and segment customer data in relation with campaign objectives
  • Measuring campaign effectiveness and adjusting activity / content accordingly
  • Maintaining and developing relationships with key local suppliers and media partners
  • Writing and creating targeted copy for campaigns in accordance with show / portfolio strategies
  • Writing and creating collateral in line with functional team requirements
  • Creating and implementing social media campaigns and ensure web content is fit for purpose
  • Co-ordinating registration process with local third party supplier
  • Working with agencies and third party suppliers
  • Co-ordinating the development and fulfilment of sponsorship and revenue opportunities
  • Co-ordinating the development of the event app
  • Controlling costs against budget, raising orders, maintaining invoice records and marketing budget trackers relating to campaigns
  • Planning and implementing promotional / advertising / digital media campaigns
  • Working closely with the customer marketing managers to ensure buyer and exhibitor recruitment targets are met
  • Production of all onsite literature including catalogues


Ideal Candidate Profile: 


  • Solid experience in online and offline marketing
  • Excellent copywriting and verbal communication skills
  • Strong time and project management skills
  • Good multi-tasking skills and ability to prioritise
  • Ability to meet deadlines within budget and under pressure
  • Ability to work independently but also as part of a team
  • Good database management skills • Proactive approach to problem solving
  • Confident, self-starter
  • Experience in a publishing / event / exhibition background would be an advantage
  • Excellent IT skills
