Senior BD Executive (Employment) - Global Law Firm
A global legal firm has a vacancy for a Senior Business Development Executive to join their practice. The primary focus of this role is to provide frontline support to the leadership, lawyers and members of the Employment practice group by executing agreed business growth objectives, implementing business development actions and working with related teams to grow the firm's business base.
The Senior BD Executive will be expected to develop an in-depth knowledge of lawyer expertise, firm experience, industry and trade group organisations, trends and clients and, taking responsibility for managing the BD budget, will work with both the practice and individual lawyers to support and deliver on key business development goals, including, best practice delivery, follow up and evaluation and subsequently take any remedial action necessary. The provision of primary frontline support in preparing responses to domestic and cross-border RFIs, requests for RFPs and other pitches, proposals, capability statements and client-facing materials for new or expanded business will form an important part of this role, and the Senior BD Executive will be tasked with managing and tracking pitch and proposal activity, including updating the pitch log. On the marketing side you be responsible for maintaining and overseeing regular updates of practice group marketing materials and tools, practice descriptions and representative matter lists and ensure experience is captured in a timely fashion in keeping with firmwide standards. You will also facilitate the internal and external communications process, supporting media relations efforts by identifying topical issues, collaborate on the preparation of directory and awards submissions and ensure that the practice maximizes the strategic use of social media.
You will be a bright graduated, preferably educated in either marketing, communications or another business degree. The Senior BD Executive will also have extensive business development, marketing, sales or related experience within an international professional services environment, to include Employment experience and a proven project management track record. The successful candidate will also be a flexible, self-starter with an exceptional work ethic and attention to detail who enjoys working as part of a team and possess the ability to multi-task, to manage a large volume of time-sensitive deadlines.
