BD Manager (Entrepreneur & Family Business) - 12 Month FTC
A leading law firm is looking for an experienced Business Development Manager on a twelve month fixed term contract basis. The role of the Business Development Manager is to drive the planning, development and execution of marketing plans and campaigns and to help in the identification and creation of opportunities to win new business.
The role requires a flexible Business Development Manager who will primarily support the Entrepreneur & Family Business go-to-market approach for the firm, which has a plan, pipeline and budget; as well as the Business Services Division as a whole which is one of the largest divisions of the firm and consists of the Corporate, Commercial and Employment, Pension and Immigration groups. Reporting to the Head of Business Development and acting as the 'go to' person, providing day to day support to the Sector and Division groups you will be responsible for:
Line managing the Business Services BD Executive.
Working with the Director of BD & Communications, the Head of Business Development and Partners to review, develop and update business plans and budgets
Working with fee earners to develop strategic targeting of new business suggesting methods of entry to potential new clients
Developing, populating and reporting on key information repositories, such as deals databases, events etc.
Organising and delivering training for fee-earners in the various skills necessary to develop prospects and win new business
Project Managing the pitch process
Co-developing and managing the delivery of go-to-market campaigns
Planning and delivering a variety of targeted events
Creating brochures, team sheets and other client facing materials with support from the Business Development Executive
Creating and maintaining internet and intranet content
Driving and coordinating UK and international directory and award submissions
Working with the relevant fee earners and the Marketing Communications team in creating and organising newsletters, legal updates and other direct mailings
The ideal candidate for the role of BD Manager will have relevant experience within the professional services environment, a good academic record and both a proven track record of relevant BD results and flair for the 'sales' side of professional services marketing.
