The largest, most creatively awarded healthcare advertising in the UK is offering a rare opportunity for an Account Director for their unique Clinical Trials Recruitment operation. The company is based in Windsor and handles campaigns for some of the biggest brands from some of the best-know pharma companies in the world. They are ranked among the UK’s Top 50 Advertising Agencies, are now part of a huge global network, and have won multiple global and local awards, including three Cannes Lions for the best independent healthcare agency of the year.
As a result of continued growth, their specialist Clinical Trials Recruitment (CTR) business unit is looking for an Account Director to take responsibility for a number of key clients. The role offers plenty of opportunity to travel and to develop new business streams in the UK and in the US. Clinical studies are being carried out in a huge and diverse range of disease areas, so the patient populations, and therefore the communication challenge, are incredibly varied. From studies investigating new treatments for dust mite allergy, to research into new chemotherapy regimes for patients with advanced cancer, each project requires a different and tailored patientcentric approach. This agency is recognised as one of the leading agencies in this specialist field and has achieved international recognition for its creative work. Their clients include 5 of the world’s top 7 Clinical Research Organisations (CROs) and they also work directly with a number of sponsor pharmaceutical companies. The UK CTR client services business unit is currently fifteen strong and the Senior Account Director vacancy offers an exciting opportunity for someone to work closely with the senior team members to grow and nurture the CTR business, as they establish their office in New York.
You will have already gained valuable experience ideally in CTR within a CRO or pharma company, or healthcare advertising. They will be committed to providing the training and development that you’ll need: running a portfolio of clients, driving new business and managing your own small team. A science degree would be useful but is not necessary, providing you can demonstrate a track record of achievement in a similar environment.
