Lead/Senior User Researcher - Digital, Innovation, Strategy

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3+ years of hands-on end to end user experience research (study design, recruiting, moderation, analysis, reporting)
  • Extensive knowledge of usability and user experience research tools and qualitative techniques (e.g. heuristic reviews, benchmarking, card sorts, tree tests, lo-fidelity prototype testing, interviews, field research)
  • Excellent written, verbal & presentation skills
  • Experience of creating personas, customer journey maps, process flows
  • Research experience in multiple digital channels
  • Research experience in both direct to consumer and enterprise or business websites/apps/tools
  • Workshop planning & facilitation experience
  • Experience of quantitative methods e.g. questionnaire design, behavioral analysis, statistical/analytical concepts

The role:

  • Plan, execute and communicate user experience research that provides tangible findings and clear calls to action.
  • Work with designers, product managers, strategists and developers to prioritize research opportunities in an agile, fast-paced, iterative environment.
  • Mentor junior researchers and designers, and give constructive feedback on research plans and reports.
  • Bring a strong understanding of qualitative and quantitative methodologies as well as best practices and core principles of great user experience.
  • Produce written reports and live presentations that inspire action through clarity and relevance, for audiences ranging from technical thinkers to highest-level executives.
  • Represent the customer's voice in the product development process.
  • Manage relationships with third party research agencies.
  • Enthusiastically advocate for the value of research across the business

  • Encyclopaedic understanding and ravenous curiosity regarding user experience
  • A love of learning grounded in curiosity, open-mindedness and a drive to make things better by understanding them more completely
  • BA/BSc or higher degree in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Science, Behavioral Psychology, Information Science, Game Design or a related field. (Equivalent practical experience also considered)
